Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Experience: Must have at least one year of CT experience
License: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
Certifications: BLS

Description:
Under general supervision, specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures.
May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
Explains examination procedures to patients and prepares patients for the examination.
Reviews clinical data and performs appropriate examinations.
Obtains additional information about patients' medical histories as necessary.
Prepares the procedure room and regularly replenishes stock.
Analyzes anatomical structures of patients and sets up equipment.
Performs CT scans and manually controls the equipment for proper diagnostic information.
Administers intravenous contrast media and monitors patients for reactions.
May prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for procedures.
Ensures adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.
Assists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures.
Demonstrates principles of radiation protection during all imaging procedures.
Resolves image exceptions and ensures high-quality image delivery in systems.
Completes all study indexing and documentation in the information system.
Reviews and confirms clinical protocols before performing studies.
Demonstrates teamwork and open communication consistently.
Performs all documentation in the medical record and information system as necessary.
May work in various settings and be exposed to potential hazards.
Occasionally may lift and/or move equipment and patients as required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
