POSITION OVERVIEW (duties include but are not limited to)

As a care giver and clinician educator, you should have outstanding interventional radiology skills combined with a passion for teaching and scholarship. Previous post-training academic experience and a history of publication in peer-reviewed radiology journals is preferred. This position includes both inpatient and outpatient activity and the opportunity to teach learners at all levels (students, residents, and fellows). You will spend most of your time in direct patient care and the supervision of medical residents and radiology fellows in inpatient/outpatient settings. 2-5 years of experience preferred but all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Broad experience in Interventional Radiology with a focus in Interventional Oncology and advanced liver interventions is desirable.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Provide oversight for provision of services and develop, implement, direct and monitor operational plans and/or policies to ensure that patient treatment is effective and comprehensive and patient care service is in accordance with community standards of practice.
  • Ensure that consultative services are made available in a timely manner to coordinate patient treatment with medical and surgical subspecialty services.
  • Ensure appropriate professional Interventional Radiology coverage in the inpatient and outpatient clinical services for eligible patients.
  • Supervise and train Radiology residents in accordance with standards established by the Residency Review Committee.
  • Verify/complete all radiology reports within 24 hours of completion of the procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be Board Certified/Eligible in Radiology and Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or (AOBR).
  • Must have current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as certified by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Must have current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number and National Practitioner Identifier (NPI).
