Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Profession: Radiology / Cardiology

Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: State License (Pending license accepted)
Certifications: ARRT N or NMTCB, ARRT R, BLS
Must-Have: COVID vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions accepted)
Description:
The position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Work includes both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Applicants should be skilled in IV starts and phlebotomy.
Responsible for handling PACS and performing cardiac and various types of scans such as bone, brain, liver/spleen, lung, renal flow, shunt, thyroid studies, tumor localization, SPECT, and myocardial imaging.
Must be proficient in drawing venous blood and maintaining peripheral IVs.
Candidates should have experience in storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials.
Types of cases include normal diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging and specialized scans such as HIDA, MUGA, renogram, liver/spleen, and infection imaging.
SPECT/CT scans involve infection imaging and therapies such as I-131, Xofigo, and Lutathera.
PET/CT scanning includes FDG, Dotatate, and PSMA imaging.
The hospital is a Level I Trauma and Teaching facility with comprehensive services.
Work involves four general imaging rooms, one SPECT/CT, and two PET/CT rooms.
Call is minimal with current hours from 16:00 to 06:00 on weekdays and 24-hour coverage on weekends.
The facility uses Cerner for charting.
Orientation hours for this role are eight hours.
Applicants must be ready to work on compliance requirements promptly after signing.
