Job Title: Echocardiographer (Cardiac Sonographer)
Profession: Radiology / Cardiology

Hours per Shift: 5 x 8-Hour (06:30 - 14:00)
Experience: Adult scanning experience required
License: Registered Echo Sonographer (ARDMS-AE or CCI)
Certifications: BLS certification required
Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience
Description:
Echocardiographer needed for a 13-week assignment with 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, between 6:30 AM and 4 PM.
The role requires rotating half-day coverage on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to noon.
You will participate in a rotation for weekday, weekend, and holiday call.
Applicant must be certified to work as a registered cardiac ultrasound sonographer.
Applicants should have experience independently performing and documenting TTE, TEE, (2D and 3D), and Echo Stress exams.
Must be able to perform 2-dimensional, M-mode, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Doppler procedures.
Capable of measuring all heart chamber sizes, including wall thickness and valve openings.
Ability to recognize abnormalities during testing, focusing on areas of specific concern required.
Familiarity with utilizing the Doppler probe (pulsed and continuous wave) to gather diagnostic information is necessary.
Able to calculate valvular gradients, valve orifices, and pressure halftimes.
The position requires the ability to complete a preliminary report.
Experience with EPIC EMR is a firm requirement.
Scheduled for 5 days per week totaling 40 hours which includes some weekend shifts.
Will be placed on a rotation of after-hours, holiday, and weekend call.
Dress code requires solid color scrubs only.
A flu vaccine is required, while medical/religious exemptions and declinations are allowed.
Candidates must complete orientation with 16 hours allotted for it.
