What You'll Do
Department Operations
- Manage daily radiology operations, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Oversee imaging services such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including radiation safety standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate repairs or replacements when needed.
Staff Leadership
- Supervise and mentor radiology staff, including technologists, administrative personnel, and support staff.
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Create staff schedules to optimize coverage and minimize patient wait times.
- Foster a positive, collaborative environment and address team concerns effectively.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Implement and monitor quality control programs to ensure accurate and consistent imaging results.
- Maintain compliance with regulations, including Joint Commission, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
- Stay informed on industry standards and evolving regulatory requirements.
Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, including payroll, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure accuracy in billing processes, documentation, and coding.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
Patient-Centered Care
- Ensure patients receive respectful, timely, and accurate diagnostic services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to meet patient needs and deliver optimal outcomes.
- Address patient feedback and resolve concerns related to imaging services.
Technology and Innovation
- Stay informed about advancements in radiologic technologies and techniques.
- Lead the adoption of new technologies and best practices to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate with IT and equipment vendors to maintain cutting-edge imaging systems.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications in imaging technology are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in radiology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or equivalent. Certifications in MRI, CT, or other specialties are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in radiology equipment, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in managing large healthcare facilities or multi-department imaging services.
