The ideal candidate would have an entrepreneurial and inventorial spirit to learn and develop new applications for our instruments as well as think outside the box to execute an experiment. A passion for science and how it can be used to discover, invent, and learn is a must.

Pre-sales and post-sales technical support of spectroscopic products
Assisting sales and service in their interactions with prospects and existing customers
Running prospect samples and writing analysis reports
Performing demonstrations and customer training at HORIBA facility or in the field
Writing applications notes and technical articles
Giving scientific and sales presentations at events and meetings
Attending trade shows to provide technical support
Discovering and developing new applications for our instruments
Requirements
M.S. Degree or PHD in chemistry, biophysics, physics, materials sciences/engineering, or other related scientific field
Knowledge of spectroscopic instruments and techniques such as Raman, Fluorescence, FTIR and photoluminescence is preferred
Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time, including international trips
Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills
Positive, proactive thinker with great attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
