What you'll do

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $110,000-$130,000

What you'll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Work with engineering teams to understand system and component energy consumption targets and develop / identify potential opportunities.
- Work closely with the CAE team to align on CAE modeling inputs. Co-develop road maps to meet targets.
- Develop test plans and perform range tests on a dynamometer in support of target validation. Evaluate energy consumption, drive mode comparisons, and undertake both 2-cycle and 5-cycle optimization studies. Complete vehicle coast down testing in support of road load validation.
- Perform benchmark analysis of competitor range and energy consumption including both analytical assessments and physical testing to ensure competitiveness.
- Develop range label and homologation proposals to meet range targets and be the interface to the homologation teams.
- Own the range attribute and present status, risks, and opportunities to management

What you'll bring

- 3+ years experience working in electrified vehicle range and energy consumption.
- Experience testing electrified vehicle range/energy consumption on a dynamometer and analyzing results.
- Clear understanding of the modeling inputs used for range CAE assessments.
- Experience working with HV battery and motor teams and engineering knowledge of HV systems and interactions.
