Job Summary:
Perform and lead teams in all aspects of research, design, and fabrication of unmanned aircraft systems including aerodynamics, stability and control, structures, avionics, and related systems using knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of design for these systems as well as hands-on experience. Conduct system, subsystem and component level characterization, exploitation, and analysis of unmanned aircraft systems. Support engineering efforts for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex systems Reverse-engineer, analyze and document aircraft vehicle systems Position will require travel to meet with customers as well as perform flight tests, and participate in DoD testing events.

Position Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering
Three years experience in analyzing, designing, fabricating, and flight testing small unmanned fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Fabrication of composite aircraft. Use and programming autopilots. Operation and analysis of small unmanned aircraft propulsion systems including internal combustion (2-stroke, 4-stroke, gas turbine) and electric. Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret Clearance.
Composites fabrication, aeronautics analysis and design skills, small propulsion system analysis and operation, basic shop skills. Software: Solidworks, MS suite, MathCAD, Arduplane.
Must be able to work in cold (down to 10 deg F) and hot temperatures (up to 125 deg F) day or night.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs occasionally (lifting and repetitive motions)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering
