Reporting to the Principal Scientist, Operations Lead, this role plays a key part in implementing GSSI's laboratory-based clinical research strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in clinical exercise physiology and a proactive, flexible approach to research in a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of laboratory-based clinical research protocols at GSSI's Valhalla facility, under the guidance of the Principal Scientist.
- Act as the Lead Clinical Exercise Physiologist, working closely with the Medical Director to ensure participant safety and research compliance through the development and execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct medical screenings to assess eligibility of study participants, including stress tests (e.g., VO2max testing with ECG monitoring, blood pressure assessment).
- Oversee daily lab operations including equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with all phases of research execution, including data collection, data entry, analysis, and the preparation of internal reports.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of scientists and professionals at GSSI sites domestically and internationally.
