Job Description:
Your deliverables as a Senior Web Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Write modern front-end JavaScript using frameworks and libraries such as React, Redux, and Immutable
- Implement new features while prioritizing user experience and modern design
- Refactor existing code and fix bugs while prioritizing stability, consistency, and simplicity
- Communicate and collaborate with other teams, both technical and non-technical
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in developing web-based user interfaces
- JavaScript proficiency
- Unit testing framework integration and development
- Write maintainable code in a functional style
- Work productively in a dynamic environment
- Take ownership of your work
- Contribute to design and architecture decisions
Ideal Experience:
- Effective working knowledge of accessibility verification tools, assistive technologies, and accessibility standards
- Strong background in web development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Es6
- Experience with assistive technologies across multiple platforms, including screen readers, magnification, and read-aloud tools
- Web or UI programming with an emphasis on user experience
- Current JavaScript frameworks, tools, and methodologies, such as React, Redux, and ES6
- Functional programming
- Leading a technical discussion
- Git or similar tools
- Single-page web applications
- NodeJS and server-side JavaScript
