The Office of the Secretary, Reentry Unit is currently recruiting to fill a Reentry Program Manager (Program & Policy Chief) position. This position will be headquartered at the DOC central office in Madison, WI.
Position Summary
This position provides policy development and implementation of the DOC's reentry contracted programming and training initiatives and directs and reviews analyses and evaluations of reentry programs, policies, and processes to guide policy changes, process improvements, selection and application of performance measures, and other quality and performance improvement efforts. Responsibilities include performing administrative and managerial functions in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of complex program and policy components of the Department's reentry initiatives in collaboration with internal and multiple external partners and stakeholders.
This position also directs the administration and implementation of various reentry contracted programs designed to reduce recidivism and enhance client success in the community and manages multiple contracted Career & Technical Education (CTE) training programs, and will direct and manage integrated reentry strategies for the Department. This position will partner and represent DOC with Industry Advisory Councils of the Technical College System, employer groups, Workforce Development Boards, and Chambers of Commerce to promote reentry opportunities for clients. Additionally, this position will serve as a manager in the Reentry Unit, supervising staff who coordinate and manage various reentry programs and initiatives.
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $65395 and $107848 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 81-02. A two-year Career Executive trial period is required.

Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

NOTE: This position is eligible to work remotely up to 3 days per week. Any remote work must be performed within Wisconsin.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
Implementing/facilitating/coordinating projects or programs.
Developing and/or implementing policies or procedures.
Coordinating with, and/or working on, various workgroups and/or project teams.
Performing lead worker activities (training staff, assigning and reviewing work, etc.).
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience:
Performing supervisory activities (establishing operating procedures, conducting performance evaluations, performing supervisory administrative functions, hiring, etc.).
Evaluating projects/initiatives/programs and implementing change/improvements.
Leading cross-divisional and/or cross-agency workgroups or project teams.
