What we need:

Are you a strategic finance leader with a passion for partnering with business leaders to drive growth and performance? We're looking for a Regional Director of Finance to join our team and serve as a key strategic partner to our Partner Company General Managers, overseeing a portfolio of dynamic businesses within a defined market area.

This is a high-impact role for a results-oriented financial professional who thrives on solving complex problems, shaping business strategy, and building strong cross-functional relationships. You will work hand-in-hand with GMs as their primary financial advisor and thought partner, influencing strategic decisions and leading financial operations across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering
  • Act as the primary financial advisor to multiple General Managers across a portfolio of companies
  • Influence strategy development and key decision-making in the market area
  • Translate financial insights into business actions that drive growth and profitability

P&L & Balance Sheet Ownership
  • Own full P&L and balance sheet responsibility across the market
  • Ensure financial accuracy and integrity across the portfolio
  • Optimize working capital and capital structure at both market and company levels

Performance Management
  • Partner with GMs to set financial goals, define KPIs, and drive performance
  • Identify areas for improvement and help develop strategic action plans
  • Monitor and support the execution of business objectives

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the region
  • Deliver high-level variance analysis and actionable insights
  • Create financial models to support strategic planning and investment decisions
  • Assess risks/opportunities and collaborate with leadership on mitigation and growth strategies

Business Reviews
  • Lead monthly business reviews with leadership teams
  • Present comprehensive financial reporting and insights to executive leadership
  • Drive discussion on performance, risks, and strategic opportunities

Qualifications:

Experience & Knowledge
  • 8+ years of finance experience, with 5+ years in a senior-level business partnering or FP&A role
  • Proven track record of influencing executive-level decisions and driving financial results
  • Strong command of accounting principles (GAAP), financial modeling, and ERP/FP&A systems
  • Regional/multi-business finance leadership experience required; private equity or multi-unit exposure is a plus
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred

    Compensation:

    Guardian is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the pay range is $145,000 - $165,000 plus annual bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

    Location: This role is a hybrid role - requiring 2-3 days/week in the downtown Denver office (parking provided).

    $150,000-$165,000 USD
