In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Labor Relations, Human Resources, and Hotel Operations teams, where you'll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role

The Regional Director of Labor Relations for NYC acts as the liaison between the Hotel Managers and the Business Agents from the Hotel Trades Council (Union). The Regional Manager will focus on dispute resolution and contract interpretation. The Regional Manager will report directly to the Head of Labor Relations and collaborate with Human Resources and Hotel Leadership to conduct and advise on investigations and grievances, as well as strategize on operational goals. This position will provide support for fourteen (14) Hyatt properties in New York City. Bulleted list of key aspects of the role:
Oversee the daily administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with the Union.
Maintain grievance log and prepare statistical reports in partnership with the broader regional labor team.
Actively support managers and supervisors in the investigation of grievances with a focus on proactively resolving them internally.
Represent the Hotel and act as the spokesperson at grievance meetings.
Educate and guide managers and supervisors through the grievance process and on contract interpretation.
Develop and maintain ongoing lists of management initiatives and proposals for future contract negotiations.
Educate managers and supervisors on the effects of historical work practices as well as actions that impact work practices.
