POSITION: Regional Director (Full-Time)

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 9AM - 6PM; 9:30AM - 6:30PM; or when otherwise required

RATE: $40-$45

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations (DOO)

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Regional Director is responsible for providing leadership, support, and oversight to a team of Program Directors within one school district or designated unit. This position ensures high-quality program implementation across all regional sites, supports staff development, promotes alignment with organizational goals, and builds strong partnerships with districts, schools, families, and the community. The Regional Director plays a critical role in sustaining excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the success of Boys & Girls Club programs.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

  • Provide direct oversight to 3-6 Program Directors who each manage 2-4 site locations.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of organizational policies, program expectations, and quality standards across all assigned sites.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for assigned Program Directors.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities that support staff growth, leadership, and retention.
  • Conduct daily site visits to observe programming, meet with staff, and assess consistency towards goals.
  • Ensure alignment with the After School Education and Safety (ASES) program, and/or Expanding Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) guidelines and other grant requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships with district administrators, school leaders, and community partners.
  • Monitor and support the development and completion of site-level plans, goals, and reports.
  • Collaborate with the DOO and other regional leaders to evaluate and enhance programming.
  • Address high-level concerns or issues escalated from site or district personnel.
  • Represent the Club at school board/ and or district meetings, district-level events, and other community engagements.
  • Work with administrative teams to support grant reports, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Inspire and develop high-performing Program Directors.
  • Empower team through effective coaching, modeling, and ongoing evaluation.

2. Program Oversight
  • Ensure safety, equity, and engagement across all youth programs.
  • Maintain awareness and responsiveness to program needs, district priorities, and community issues.
  • Use data and feedback to drive program improvement.

3. Communication & Partnership
  • Communicate regularly with Program Directors and district personnel.
  • Share important updates, opportunities, and challenges with the DOO and leadership team.
  • Maintain professionalism in all forms of communication and public representation.

4. Compliance & Accountability
  • Support Program Directors in meeting compliance for ASES/ELOP and other grant programs.
  • Conduct formal evaluations of Program Directors and maintain accurate performance records.
  • Track regional outcomes and ensure timely submission of required documentation.

5. Strategic Leadership
  • Contribute to regional planning, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
  • Serve as a key thought partner to the DOO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Nonprofit Leadership, Social Work, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in youth development, education, or after-school program leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and multi-site operations.

2. Skills & Certifications

  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of ASES/ELOP programs, child safety protocols, and youth development principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and data systems.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to complete upon hire).

3. Other Requirements
  • Must pass a background check, TB test, and drug screening.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends or evenings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move through Club and school environments frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in busy, dynamic, and sometimes loud environments.
