The Regional Fleet Manager is responsible for managing and directing the daily operations and administrative functions for multiple fleet locations. They make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and safety to ensure efficient delivery of products and services. They formulate, recommend, and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability of the company. The Regional Fleet Manager works with the account team, drivers, existing and prospective customers, and brokers in proactively servicing multiple accounts, increasing profitable revenue, and providing tactical execution of fleet operations.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Ensure standards of production, quality, safety, and equipment are maintained through a cost-effective process to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Oversee operations of asset fleet department: pricing vendor negotiations, dispatching, preventative maintenance, load planning, problem solving, and cost control.
  • Execute to monthly budget and P&L. Assist in annual budgeting process to achieve financial targets.
  • Actively solicit new business to grow profitable transportation solutions within assigned markets.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and make recommendations to implement solutions to problems related to any area of the fleet trucks.
  • Work closely with customers, external and internal, to ensure relationships are established and maintained at the highest level.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to facilitate action plans in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Analyze and communicate financial, operational, and administrative issues in a timely manner to ensure prompt and immediate resolve is brought to concerns.
  • Advise the Director and VP of Transportation of any labor, safety, security, customer, or employee relations concerns.
  • Work closely with Safety and HR teams to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Achieve Transportation KPIs and fulfill customer requirements.
