Overview
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Annually
**Must be able to sit on-site daily at our Chinatown office location**
Summary:
The Regional HR Supervisor researches, recommends, and provides administrative support for various HR employee programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning group and the local leadership team to assist with recruiting, retention, and succession planning
Collaborate with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition group to understand skills and competencies required and to open the necessary requisitions
Coordinate and facilitate the talent acquisition process, including:
o Recruiting candidates
o Reviewing and grading applications
o Screening applicants
o Tracking and expediting candidates through the hiring process
o Scheduling interviews
Help ensure a positive candidate experience
Act as the local administrator for the applicant tracking system
Assist in the onboarding and training of new hires
Track coworker referrals for bonus payments
Participate in local job fairs
HR Compliance
Assist in the ongoing training of employees regarding Regional and Corporate initiatives
Knowledge of policies, regulations, and operation procedures as stated in the employee handbook for the Union workforce
Monitor compliance with local employment laws, including labor standards, anti-discrimination policies, and safety regulations and advise of potential risks
Administer and track FMLA for the Union Workforce
Keep current with various compliance topics by attending workshops, seminars, and webinars
Administrative Duties
Knowledge of Regional Collective Bargaining Agreements
Provides support to the Regional management team
Assist in the facilitation of company health & welfare insurance and Encompass
Enter all applicable information into HCM system regarding licensure, medical testing & training
Participation and leadership as a regional representative for Community Builders
Coordinates events & meetings
Global Responsibilities
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs
Qualifications:
Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources management
Skills/Abilities:
Detail oriented; specifically, in database and recording keeping
Knowledge of and ability to reference the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Handbook
Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
Demonstrate a highly professional, flexible and customer service demeanor
Effectively communicate with all levels of employees via phone, person and/or email
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions:
Operates within a professional office environment
Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
Occasional local travel required for meetings and training sessions
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
