Responsibilities
Provides leadership and assists the Director, Rehabilitation Services and/or Regional VP, Operations with oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Rehabilitation Services Department. The Regional Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of assigned staff and provides guidance, training and monitoring of performance of assigned therapy staff. The Regional Manager utilizes knowledge of all therapy disciplines, including Occupational, Physical, and Speech therapy field's concepts, practices, and procedures in order to provide leadership to the rehab team and to accomplish goals. This position works closely with therapy staff, members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and families to provide therapy care, evaluation and treatment to participants based on the scope and practice of their license and as directed by the physician and Plan of Care (POC)and in accordance with applicable InnovAge polices and state regulations.

Posted Salary Range
USD $110,600.00 - USD $143,800.00 /Yr.

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities
Functional Category: Administrative

- Attends Center and/or Regional Leadership meetings and conveys appropriate information to therapy staff
- Participates in peer review and QM activities as needed
- Participates in utilization review of medical records as assigned
- Provides guidance to staff and team members that is consistent with both State law and company policy.
- Collaborates with the Director, DME to provide oversight of orders/inventories of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for participants, addressing overall utilization as well as DME product selection by therapists.
- Collaborates with the Chief Quality and Population Health Officer to provide oversight of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, including quality, utilization, and costs
- Orients and educates contract rehab services contractors on InnovAge Greater PACE/LIFE systems and goals.
- Ensures that DME loans, returns, repairs, and purchases are documented in the appropriate records per department policies and on a timely basis by staff.
- Solicits ideas from staff for ongoing improvement in the efficient functioning of the rehab department.
- Provides remedial training for non-rehab staff, such as CNA's and Drivers, in relation to specific participant needs.
- Ensures purchases are appropriate for participants and rehab operations within established department budget and goals.
- Assists with maintenance of the quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control programs
- Assists in recommending policies and procedures for the rehab services department
- Conduct and participates in clinic educational programs.

- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective disciplinary procedures and practices (under direction of supervisor and in partnership with Human Resources), addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensures annual employee performance reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner. Evaluates performance of employees for compliance with established policies and objectives of the organization and contributions in attaining objectives.
- Helps set the tone of the department to ensure morale, teamwork, and that the positive employment culture of the organization is maintained.
- Regularly schedules leadership/management, department, and staff 1:1 meeting to provide leadership, development, and a forum for communication to ensure coordination and collaboration in meeting organization and individual goals
- Pursues opportunities to improve the efficiency of the department, including care model redesign and staffing models
Travel Requirements

REQUIRED
Education
One of the following educational requirements must be met:
- Graduation from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association required.
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation
Required
- Requires state issued driver's license, personal transportation, good driving record and auto insurance as required by law.
One of the following licensure requirements must be met if applicable with education
- Current Physical Therapist license that allows physical therapy practice inside assigned Region.
- Current eligibility for the National Registration Examination of the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy and
- Current certification from National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBOT) for Occupational Therapy and Current State issued Occupational Therapy license that allows occupational therapy practice.
- Clinical Certification of Competency in Speech Pathology (CCC) and current Speech Pathology State license
Work Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in licensed discipline
- A minimum of one (1) year experience working with the frail or elderly is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years supervisory or lead experience
- Working knowledge of the scopes or practice of Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy and Speech/Language Pathology (SLP), related to geriatrics.
PREFERRED
Work Experience and Qualifications
- Four (4) years therapy experience in geriatrics preferred
- Bi-lingual preferred
