Within our organization, the Marine department oversees vessel deployment throughout North America Region. This department is responsible for marine terminal operation. Specifically, vessel ocean passage for bunker saving, port call optimization for cost control, and full vessel utilization are the most important part RMM functions. Other department responsibilities include coordination with other Alliance and VSA partners, uphold OOCL right through joint working procedures.

The annualized base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $123,000.00, excluding fringe benefits. If hired at OOCL, the final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we also consider internal equity as part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, monitor, and manage OOCL Vessels and related terminal activities within a specific geographic region
- Manage Marine team of ship planners and their functions, evaluate performance and set goals to maximize loading capacity, ensure vessel safety and security compliance
- Perform ROC function for various Alliance and VSA partners and protect OOCL interest
- Maintain budgetary controls and ensure TSA-SLA application for vessel operations
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced MS Office knowledge, NAVIS products and/or other Vessel Stowage programs, EDI file exchange
- Contract negotiation
- Dealing with various Authorities or Government agencies: USCBP, USCG, CBSA, Port Authorities, Pilots, State regulatory agencies like CARB etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
- Extensive Container vessel and / or Marine terminal knowledge or Maritime related studies
- Industry relevant experience
- Good decision-making ability/skill, must possess the ability to make good decisions quickly and without hesitation
- Must be capable to be on call 24x7 including holidays
