POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the Corporate Services Team, the primary roles of the Regional Operations Manager are to serve as an "internal consultant" and positively focused "eyes and ears" of Operations Management. Responsibilities include facilitating development of operations supervision/management talent, documenting Crown processes and ensuring they are being followed and partnering with the plant General Managers ("GM" or "GMs") to improve overall plant efficiency and housekeeping. The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining awareness of the above functions within Crown and recommending solutions and improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete Housekeeping and Safety checklists monthly (or when he/she visits) Conduct a safety walkthrough while on site. Make recommendations as needed.

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining awareness of the above functions within Crown and recommending solutions and improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visit plants as needed and as directed by the GM or COO to provide operations expertise.
- Serve as mentor and trainer for leads and supervisors in proper Crown procedures, and to impart technical acumen about the machinery and the industry.
- Shadow designated employees and provide written assessment with recommendations to GM on needed improvements
- Follow up for continued mentoring and monitoring
- Document Crown Production and Operations processes and ensure they're being followed.
- Document Safety and Housekeeping processes and ensure they're being followed
Performance Expectations
- Visit plants as directed by the needs of COO, GM or company needs.
- Create a Trip Agenda with the GM prior to the meeting.
- Take extensive notes during the visit.
- Meet with the GM at the conclusion of the visit for a verbal recap.
- Within 3 business days of each visit, or as otherwise instructed by COO, complete the Visit Summary, with recommended follow up items and timeframes, and send to COO and GM.
- Work with appropriate personnel on proper washer and dryer settings. Only make changes after seeking the approval of the GM, and changes should be made in concert with training the operator/manager. Ensure that the operator is trained and understands the recommended changes. Document reasons for changes and include in the Visit Summary.
- Work with COO to create list of most critical processes to document. Review process maps with GM, then share at other plants for training purposes.
- Enhance communications with the GMs and Maintenance as an "internal consultant" - your role is to observe, document and help improve.
- At each quarter's end, provide an updated list to COO of those key managers you feel you've impacted most by mentoring and how/why.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without an accommodation.
- 10+ years experience in laundry operations; must have GM experience
- Excellent organizational skills; documents completely
- Exceptional knowledge of equipment and processes
- Exceptional internal collaboration skills
- Ability to travel extensively, 50% to 75% of time
- Good Computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, including Outlook and Excel.

- Washer or Dryer formula changes
- Major changes to current procedures
- Will make recommendations regarding development of supervisors and managers
