Under the direction of the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Regional President is responsible for the administration management, development and performance of State and Regional PACE Programs and related functions for a specified geographic region of the company. The role is responsible to achieve performance goals to include: compliance, financial, operational, quality, and customer service.

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities
Functional Category: Executive Administration and Financial Oversight
Estimated Percent of time Spent - 70%
- Overall business leader for all centers in their assigned region, with full accountability for the results achieved for the collective performance of the centers within their region regardless of organizational alignment or functional ownership of individual activities within the region.
- Responsible for the profit and loss performance of the markets that fall within their responsibility, including delivering on revenue/participant volume, center and participant expense management, and contribution margins aligned to InnovAge's financial plans and forecasts.
- Work with the Regional Medical and Nursing Directors to lead and manage the centers and teams in their region, staying aligned on overall strategy and tactics to effectively, compliantly, and efficiently deliver PACE services to our participants. This includes meeting and exceeding all objectives and key results (OKRs), performance scorecard objectives, quality assurance and service standards, and that all centers are operating in compliance with all governing regulations and all other applicable regulatory authorities and protocols.
- Drive planning and execution of growth initiatives within their respective region in coordination with the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer (CSGO) and Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer (CSDO) to achieve InnovAge's short- and long-term growth and strategic plans. This includes participant census volumes, mix of participants, community partnerships, and more. Also work to identify new business opportunities within their region in conjunction with the CSGO and CSDO.
- Maintain and lead strong relationships with our state agency partners in coordination with External Affairs, staying abreast of key policy issues, regulatory changes, payment rates, and their effect on the company's ability to perform.
- Supports the broader organizational education by providing ongoing market environmental and competitive information and perspective through developing and maintaining strong relationships within the community, including providers, business partners, and community alliances.
- Coordinate with the President & COO and CMO to effectively develop strategic goals and turn those goals into specific operating and business plans that are executed at the regional and center level.
- Partner with Provider Network team to ensure an adequate and aligned team of providers is available in our markets to serve our participants in a compliant and efficient manner.
- Develops collaborative relationships with key internal partners to support achievement of their individual and corporate objectives.
- Work with Operations, Finance and Clinical to understand clinical and operational outcomes, participant expense drivers and create plans to improve patient care, reduce waste and increase the affordability of our programs.

- Effectively supervises and manages direct reports and provides, by example and leadership, motivation and direction to employees of the organization.
- Provide leadership, direction and skill development to direct reports, ensure appropriate prioritization of initiatives and good personnel management that supports InnovAge becoming an employer of choice for people with a passion to serve seniors living life on their terms.
- Builds and maintains a high-performance culture based on individual empowerment and productive collaboration, sets clear goal and objectives using One InnovAge metrics to measure performance while holding team members accountable.
- Provides coaching to improve performance and holds regular progress and development discussions with direct reports.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective disciplinary procedures and practices (under direction of supervisor and in partnership with Human Resources), addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensures annual employee performance reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner. Evaluates performance of employees for compliance with established policies and objectives of the organization and contributions in attaining objectives.
- Helps set the tone of the department to ensure morale, team work, and that the positive employment culture of the organization is maintained.
- Regularly schedules leadership/management, department, and staff 1:1 meetings to provide leadership, development, and a forum for communication to ensure coordination and collaboration in meeting organization and individual goals.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or another human services related field from an accredited college/university, required.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or another human services related field from an accredited college/university, preferred.
Work Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of fifteen years' total related experience working in operational functions, which includes identifying profitable business opportunities, as well as starting up and growing businesses, developing strategies, managing resources, and overseeing the financial performance for an organization.
- Minimum of ten years' experience in a supervisory and/or administrative capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of health care delivery and financing systems, including Medicaid, Medicare, waiver programs, prospective and capitated systems, public health programs, and HMO/Managed Care.
- Current experience and knowledge of current concepts, theories and practices related to the home and community-based care, care coordination, and emerging health care delivery programs or services.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare, social services, and aging networks, as well as relevant federal and state systems.
- Proven experience managing start-up businesses into financially responsible, service oriented mature business lines.
- Strong understanding of health care dynamics and economics as it relates to profitability.
