Detector Electronics LLC has an opening for a Regional Sales Director, Americas in Houston, TX. Up to 50% national and international travel. International travel includes Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

Job Duties:
- Lead business growth across the Americas region (including the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean) through the development of innovative, long-term strategic plans aimed at increasing sales, market share, and brand presence for Det-Tronics and Autronica.
- Drive high-impact business growth initiatives in the fire and gas detection industry, leveraging deep knowledge of the market, particularly in high-risk sectors such as FPSO, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemicals.
- Spearhead the penetration of new markets, creating strategies to ensure business continuity, competitive advantage, and innovative use of existing products in new applications.
- Lead the development of comprehensive business growth strategies for Project, Application for Fire, Gas and Systems across North America in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, and Central/South America/ Caribbean, leveraging deep industry knowledge and unique insights into fire and gas safety systems.
- Drive market penetration for Det-Tronics and Autronica brands by identifying untapped markets and innovative applications for existing products, deep Knowlagent of Installed Base, especially in high-hazard industries such as oil & gas, FPSO, Refinery, Storage Tanks, and energy.
- Influence product development by providing direct feedback from clients and emerging industry trends, ensuring that Autronica and Det-Tronics products meet the evolving needs of complex industrial markets.
- Implement innovative sales methodology to reverse losses, particularly in key high-stakes markets pursuit global project Brazil, USA, Singapore, and China, focusing on visual stakeholder mapping and dynamic client engagement to secure multi-million-dollar contracts.
- Lead the sales team by designing advanced training programs, for disruptive fire and gas system trainings, educate team with the skills and knowledge necessary to outperform competitors.
- Develop metrics and advanced reporting tools for tracking sales, proposals, and customer engagement, aligning all regional activities with overall business objectives.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives, maximizing P&L impact and ensuring sustainable long-term growth.
- Present regular business insights and growth recommendations to C-level executives, aligning regional sales activities with corporate strategic goals.
- Will supervise 11 reports including 7 Regional Sales Managers, one Senior Applications Sales Engineer, one Senior Proposal Engineer and one Senior Associate - Inside Sales.
Qualifications:
- Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent (to include a four year degree, a degree in combination with prior work experience or 12 years of work experience) in Business Administration or a related field and 10 years of experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Director or related role within the Flame and Gas Detection, Fire Suppression, and Safety Systems industries.
- Must possess at least 10 years of experience managing sales managers and channel distribution.
- Must possess at least 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refining sector in fire & gas technology applications.
- Must possess at least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refining Fire & Gas safety applications.
- Must possess at least 10 years of experience in Floating Production, Storage, and Operations (FPSO) applications for flame and gas technology, approvals, and requirements.
- Must possess at least 10 years of experience with Fire & Gas Detection technology approvals (ATEX, IECEx, FM, e SIL2) and international regulations (NBR, NFPA, IEC, ISA, DNV, ABS).
- Must possess and at least 10 years of experience major project pursuit ($3M+ Project size) both directly and as an executive sponsor.
- Must be fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
