Bring your background in architectural or commercial lighting and controls to ETC's bustling Northeastern US & Eastern Canada sales group! We're looking for an outgoing, driven, and service-focused individual to join us as ETC's next Architectural Regional Sales Manager! As the Regional Sales Manager, you'd be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our customers and generating new and continued business in the territory. Qualified applicants will have experience in the architectural controls market including an understanding of the construction industry and ETC's product lines, and excellent communication and presentation skills. Candidates must reside in the Northeastern US, ideally in the New York Tri-State Area as much of the first-year training will take place in our New York City office. This position involves on average 50% travel within the Northeastern US and Eastern Canada.

Representative Responsibilities:
Grow the revenue and bookings of the architectural markets in an assigned territory.
Coordinates all sales activity in assigned verticals within territory.
Stay abreast of the competitive sales environment within assigned vertical and respond appropriately to ensure ETC's market share continues to grow
Implements pricing policy to maximize volume and profitability
Facilitates sales and develops new business, manage relationships with dealers, manufacturer representatives, specifiers, and key accounts in assigned territory.
Supports regional factory representatives
Monitors and makes recommendations to Territory Sales Manager on rep territory coverage
Where applicable, makes recommendations to Territory Sales Manager on hiring and firing reps
Supports reseller activity
Monitors vertical sales activity of all resellers in the region
Makes recommendations to Territory Sales Manager about acquisition of new dealers and termination of existing dealers
Reports problems between Dealers to Territory Sales Manager; helps to resolve those problems
Helps demonstrate product and supplier information
Coordinates directly with Key accounts and specifiers
Looks for new business opportunities
Works with dealers and reps to call on end users and specifiers (consultants, engineers, and architects) to get ETC specified on new projects
Coordinates Market activity within region
Attends regional trade shows and conducts product demonstrations
Follows up on leads from national trade shows
Introduces new products within vertical to the reps, dealers, and specifiers
Ensures reps and dealers are comfortable with new products and actively promoting them
Coordinate and collaborate with other vertical RSMs to maximize business within the territory
Helps organize and curate sales activity data in CRM system
Keeps Opportunity win/loss info up to date in CRM system
Works with Territory Sales Manager and other Vertical RSMs to create forecasts and develop plans to the meet company's annual budget goals and progress corporate objectives
Acts as a conduit of customer feedback to marketing and professional service teams
Other duties as assigned.
Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline
4 + years of job-related experience or extensive sales knowledge
Motivation and diplomatic skills
Able to work independently
Comfortable presenting to large groups
Excellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of ETC products
Familiarity with competitors' products
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, drafting programs, and database management applications
