Gasmet is recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager on our Americas team. This Manager will work with customers, channel partners, and other Nederman sales professionals to sell and support assigned solutions. The Gasmet Americas team is a remote team consisting of several Sales Professionals, Technical Service and Support, Administration, Finance, and the Americas Sales Director - to whom this position will report.

This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the Western USA that will work with customers whom we support in workplace health and safety applications. Examples of these customers include Industrial Hygiene and Hazardous Response teams in: healthcare, university, pharmaceutical, chemical, advanced manufacturing, first responders, military sites, and more.

The territory includes all US states west of ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, AR, LA. (inclusive) The final territory assignment is subject to change, may include parts of Canada, and preference will be given to qualified candidates based in: Houston, Phoenix, SoCal, NoCal, or the PNW region.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Achievement of annual orders target to assigned customer, industry, and/or application group through direct sales, channel partner sales, key account management, and other future channels. Develops and executes strategic territory sales plan to align with Gasmet Americas plan.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of specifications and capabilities of Gasmet products, and how they support customer business goals. Consistently investigates and shares changes to customer goals and preferences. This person is a customer advocate that frames customer interactions and persuades internal stakeholders toward the achievement of customer goals.
  • Expert in channel partner development work such as: selection, training, support, and more. Maintains strong focus on alignment of joint business goals to drive a productive channel sales force that exceeds Gasmet business needs and the needs of customers.
  • Transfers product and application expertise into contributions to company marketing initiatives.
  • Provides occasional technical service and support to customers, and provides some backup support for other Gasmet employees.
  • Fulfill administrative responsibilities related to CRM utilization, order acceptance & processing, forecasts, event and trade show execution, expenses, and management reports and inquiries.
  • Other duties that may be necessary from time to time that will contribute toward the company meeting its goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in area of study such as: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Sciences, or similar

Experience:
  • 5+ years in a field sales role providing solutions for environmental or process analyzers, environmental safety, gas detection, measurement and control, automation, or similar.
  • Direct experience working with customers in for-profit companies, various forms of public organizations, and governmental departments, branches, divisions, sites, etc. Familiarity with the differences in organizational goals, support expectations, and funding approaches used by these different customer forms is necessary.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the USA and Canada without restriction. Occasional trips to company facilities and events in Europe may also be required.
  • Appropriate home office working environment with high-speed internet connectivity.

Other Beneficial Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable results achieved through a mix of in-person and digital sales and support activities.
  • Experience contributing to technical marketing content such as: white papers, blog posts, video demonstrations, conference presentations, manuals and support materials, or customer studies.
  • Experience working with an international manufacturing company or a service provider executing industrial contracts in the Americas.
  • Experience using Zoho and/or Microsoft Dynamics CRM software.

Key Hard Skills and Experiences:
  • An understanding of physics and chemistry concepts related to analytical measurement of gases. This person will need the ability to understand, learn additional concepts over time, express concepts clearly, and incorporate those lessons into their sales plan and daily activities.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts such as: profit margin, gross price vs. net price, credit terms, expense management, project funding processes, commission vs. resale discount, and more.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, One Drive, Concur, CRM, and related software.

Key Soft Skills and Experiences:
  • Collaboration and cultural sensitivity. The internal and external stakeholders this person interacts with are located around the world with different cultural norms.
  • Strategic mindset. This person works to advance sales through a long sales cycle involving several stakeholders with varying goals. Maintaining a disciplined approach to driving sales progress through each stage and planning for the requirements of later stages in the sales cycle will have a significant impact on this person's success.   • Effective time management. This person's primary objective is revenue generation. That is a broad objective with contributing factors that can pull this person into multiple directions. An ability to evaluate the cost/benefit of different tasks and balance multiple priorities to select the tasks to pursue first that have the largest impact on revenue generation will be important to success.
