The Regional Vice President, Finance provides executive leadership and financial oversight for multiple healthcare facilities within the assigned region. This role collaborates closely with the Division President and facility leadership teams to achieve financial objectives, manage capital expenditures, and ensure compliance with budgetary and contract guidelines. The Regional Vice President plays a critical role in supporting financial decision-making, operational improvements, and strategic growth initiatives within the region.

Job Summary
The Regional Vice President, Finance provides executive leadership and financial oversight for multiple healthcare facilities within the assigned region. This role collaborates closely with the Division President and facility leadership teams to achieve financial objectives, manage capital expenditures, and ensure compliance with budgetary and contract guidelines. The Regional Vice President plays a critical role in supporting financial decision-making, operational improvements, and strategic growth initiatives within the region.
Essential Functions
- Leads the monthly financial close process across regional facilities, ensuring adherence to corporate accounting policies, timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Prepares for corporate budget reviews by analyzing and consolidating financial data from each facility.
- Participates in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) and Assistant Chief Financial Officers (ACFOs) for the region's hospitals.
- Monitors hospital capital expenditures and contract compliance, working closely with facility CFOs and CEOs to ensure budget alignment and effective resource allocation.
- Collaborates with facility leaders to evaluate and implement new services, analyzing financial projections and assessing potential operational impacts.
- Coordinates managed care development efforts within the region, working in alignment with the VP of Business Development and Managed Care.
- Sets performance expectations for business office managers within the region, focusing on key metrics such as Accounts Receivable (AR) days, bad debt, and collection performance.
- Works with the Director, Business Operations to address and resolve operational issues, including workflow optimization, training, and collections.
- Ensures that each facility implements initiatives tailored to address hospital-specific financial concerns, including cost management in areas such as skill mix, supplies, and purchased services.
- Partners with Internal Audit to uphold the financial integrity of each facility's financial statements and support compliance with corporate financial standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferred
- More than 10 years of financial management experience in a healthcare setting, including multi-site management, budget oversight, and financial planning required
- Proven leadership experience as a CFO or equivalent role, with demonstrated success in financial operations at the regional or corporate level preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of healthcare financial management, including budgeting, capital planning, and managed care development.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with facility leadership, corporate teams, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial reporting systems and software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations, fostering collaboration and alignment with regional goals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Licenses and Certifications
