Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting
- Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures with proficiency
- Administer conscious sedation under proper supervision
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to implement individualized care plans
- Comply with all hospital safety, policy, and procedural guidelines
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and post-treatment care
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Verified credentials through Primary Source Verification
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in maternal and child care
- Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy
- Experience with conscious sedation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity, high-pressure situations
