Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pediatric

Pay Rate: $75 to $80 per hour
Department: Inpatient Pediatric ICU (IP PEDS ICU)
Shift: 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Job Summary:
A well-established healthcare facility in Harlem is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise in maternal and child care, along with proven skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. This role offers the opportunity to work with critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced and collaborative care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures with proficiency
• Administer conscious sedation under proper supervision
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to implement individualized care plans
• Comply with all hospital safety, policy, and procedural guidelines
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and post-treatment care

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Verified credentials through Primary Source Verification
• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in maternal and child care
• Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy
• Experience with conscious sedation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity, high-pressure situations
