Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Operative Care

Job Specialty: Pre-Op Nursing

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Guaranteed Hours: Full-time

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in pre-operative care or related specialty

License: Registered Nurse (RN) License

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Must-Have: Demonstrated expertise in pre-operative nursing and possession of required certifications

Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a pre-operative setting
- Collaborate with the surgical team to assess and prepare patients for procedures
- Monitor patient vitals and provide necessary interventions to ensure safety
- Deliver patient education pertaining to the surgical process and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Uphold high standards of nursing practice and patient safety
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage and prioritize patient care
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to liaise with patients, families, and healthcare providers
