Job Title: Registered Nurse - Hospice
Job Specialty: Home Hospice
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in home health and hospice required
License: Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Certifications: BLS, Valid Driver's License
Must-Have: Oasis, hospice philosophy, infection control practices, wound vacs, wound care, PICC line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, drains, critical thinking skills, catheter insertion, ability to drive at night
Job Description:
- Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 0800-1630, with every third weekend rotation.
- Include up to one 12-hour on-call shift weekly.
- Required to work holidays if they fall on a weekday.
- The area served will be discussed during the interview.
- Manage a case load of approximately 20-25 patients.
- Support in-home care with CNA assistance.
- Nurse responsible for lab draws, IV insertions, and all patient care in-home.
- Utilize the Epic Remote charting system.
- Orientation is conducted in the field with office support.
- Scrub color can be any color of scrubs or business casual dress.
- Time-off requests are to be approved during the contract arrangement.
