Ambulatory Surgery Center -- Registered Nurse
Fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center seeking a professional Registered Nurse.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, friendly, and will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory surgical setting.

Ambulatory Surgery Center -- Registered Nurse
Fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center seeking a professional Registered Nurse.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, friendly, and will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory surgical setting.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Determines and accomplishes objectives which are in concert with facility objectives
- Assisting Mohs surgeon with dermatologic procedures (surgical, medical and cosmetic)
- Assures that proper technique and practices are used according to accepted standards of practice
- Ensures care of the patient through proper identification, checking of the chart, and reporting of changes in condition
- Assures documentation of patient care to meet criteria dictated by legal practice, state health laws and CMS.
- Is comfortable with delegation and oversight to medical assistants, maintaining both direct and indirect supervision in their daily tasks - ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures, as needed
- Utilizes a body of nursing knowledge and discriminative judgment while giving direct or indirect patient care
- Reduces chances of nosocomial infection by directing attention to infection control and environmental safety practices; enforces infection control practices in daily practices and directs staff appropriately
- Is thoroughly familiar with and comfortable in the role of patient advocate, as applied to ambulatory surgical nursing
- Has a thorough working knowledge of aseptic technique and its application
- Maintains appropriate and respectful channels of communication with all team members, staff and providers
- Makes provisions for instruments, supplies, equipment, and pharmaceutical requirements of surgical procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned by the ASC Administrator
- May be expected to lift 25 pounds without assistance. Is required to obtain assistance when moving patients as is necessary for the safety of patient or self. May be required to push patients in wheelchairs.
Certification| Qualifications| Skills Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited educational institute-PREFERRED
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington-REQUIRED
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association Certification-REQUIRED
- Experience with electronic health records
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills, organizational skills and time management skills
Qualifications| Skills Preferred:
2 years of surgical experience
