Position Overview:
- Title: Procedural Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Location : Washington, DC (near Foggy Bottom)
- Specialty : Vascular, Interventional Radiology, Pain Management (injections) and some Ortho with potential to expand more; Vascular, IR/Pain majority to start
- Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7:30-4 or 8-5.
- Pay : 34.90/hr - 55/hr
Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, considering physical, psychosocial, and cultural factors to develop individualized care plans.
- Identifies nursing problems, sets measurable goals, and creates nursing interventions to address medical diagnoses and patient needs.
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to implement, evaluate, and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Provides patient education to support health management and maximize participation in care.
- Assists physicians with daily patient care, including history-taking, assessments, procedures, and treatments.
- Ensures accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress while adhering to hospital policies and ethical standards.
- Demonstrates leadership by evaluating care delivery, identifying policy deviations, mentoring staff, and modeling professional behavior.
- Utilizes nursing research to enhance clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- At least two years of relevant clinical experience
- OR/ PACU is preferred but not required
- Active ACLS and DC RN License
