Registered Nurse - PACU / Recovery
Washington DC NW
Pay From: $35 pay rate
MUST:
Experienced Registered Nurse
NIHSS, BLS & ACLS - Required, CPAN - highly desirable
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington DC
PACU Experience - Required: 3 Years
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nurse program - Required
BSN - Highly desired
DUTIES:
Monitor post-operative patients' levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and provide updates to the medical team as needed.
Obtain and record patients' vital signs.
Observe patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication.
Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administer medication as prescribed.
Update charting (EMR), patient files, and medical records.
Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care and answer any questions.
