Our Postpartum unit at UW Medical Center-Montlake is looking for a experienced nurse interested in joining our postpartum team.

OUR POSTPARTUM UNIT

  • Family-centered focus

  • 18 postpartum mother/baby rooms

  • Cares for medically complex and high-risk postpartum patients

    OUR POSTPARTUM NURSES

  • Provide the highest-level of care for our patients by working with Obstetric, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Pediatric/Newborn providers who are in-house and accessible around the clock.

  • Have access to certified lactation consultants 7-days per week.

  • Collaborate with dedicated perinatal social workers for care coordination, as needed.

  • Adhere to AWHONN staffing standards.

    Nurse patient ratios are assigned by acuity

    Ratios can be anywhere from 1:3-1:6 (mother = 1 patient, Baby = 1 patient).

    REQUITEMENTS

  • Have or obtain a WA state license to practice as an RN or MSL

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing

  • One of more years of postpartum experience

  • New to postpartum will be considered with 2 or more years inpatient acute care or critical care experience.
