Overview
Fairview Range is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Diagnostic Imaging team in Hibbing, MN.
As a Registered Nurse in our Diagnostic department, you will provide patient care in Radiology with close collaboration with Radiologist. Provides peri anesthesia nursing care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. Serves as a resource for the radiology staff. Reduces patient's worries by teaching and supporting patients/families undergoing procedures. Assists with IV placement, insertion of feeding tubing/foley catheters, insertion of dialysis needle for fistulograms, administration of IV fluids/medications, patient education and transport of critical patients to and from the radiology department from other units in the hospital. Time permitting, starts IV's for the nursing units as directed by the nursing supervisor. Strong critical care skills, experience with conscious sedation and the ability to act quickly in an emergency, and the flexibility are some of the many attributes needed for this position.
Schedule: This is a temporary increase of FTE to be added to existing FTE within the department for 3 months.

Responsibilities/Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for:
- Performing a total systems assessment according to established policies (including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data) upon admission, as well as ongoing assessments.
- Assessing the patient's response to treatment on identified outcomes and revises the plan of care accordingly.
- Providing nursing care to radiology patients under the direction of Radiologist, performing a variety of radiologic procedures.
- Recognizing and reporting adverse patient condition to the physician in a timely manner.
- Physiologically monitoring patient and provides support during pre and post procedure phases of care.
- Collaborating with operating room, anesthesia personnel, and surgeons on planning for the provision of care.
- Understanding issues/policies related to patient rights.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Current Minnesota RN licensure.
- Acute Care experience within the last two years.
- BLS
- ACLS and PALS certification or obtains within 6 months of hire and maintains.
- BCS certification or obtains within 3 months of hire and maintains.
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical care or SDS/PACU experience within the last 2 years.
- Interventional/Imaging procedural experience and background.
