JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing care to patients receiving treatment in the out-patient Infusion Center requiring oncology chemotherapies, other IV medications, hydration, and blood products within the RN scope of practice. The Infusion/Chemotherapy RN is responsible for assessing, prioritizing, and monitoring the patients under their care. The Infusion/Chemotherapy RN provides education regarding cancer therapy and treatment associated with specific medications. The Infusion/Chemotherapy RN remains current with changing treatments and evidence-based care required to effectively care for the patient population. The Infusion/Chemotherapy nurse is able to care for adult and geriatric populations and is aware of the age-specific considerations in delivering care to these populations. The Infusion/Chemotherapy RN cares for these patients in a culturally, spiritually, and ethnically diverse manner, realizing that the patient's response to illness differs for each individual.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Blessing Corporate Services, ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Chemotherapy/biotherapy training
PREFERRED:
- BSN
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
- Possesses current State RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) For Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI)
