This RN Supervisor A position is for a vacancy located in our Slidell Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic. Please see the Examples of Work below for additional information on this position.

This position may be filled as a Probational Appointment. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere between 6 months and 24 months.

Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant's level of experience. The pay range for the position is:
  • Registered Nurse Supervisor A: $31.60/hour minimum - $56.86/hour maximum

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOT the maximum amount usually offered to new hires.

An additional premium pay of $1.00/hour may be applied hour for hour working in direct patient care.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:

Three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A bachelor's degree in nursing plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A master's degree in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A doctorate in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Examples of Work
This is a professional clinical nursing position specializing in the supervision and management of the nursing care and treatment provided to individuals with mental health, substance use and co-occurring conditions, with a highly variable and sometimes acute psychological status, among 3 outpatient clinics. The incumbent is responsible for providing both direct clinical nursing services, as well as supervising all Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and/or Registered Nurses (RNs) providing behavioral health services and specialized Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services. The FPHSA geographical service area includes the 5 parishes (Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington) served by Florida Parishes Human Services Authority (FPHSA), with this position providing direct supervision of the nursing staff located in St. Tammany and Washington parishes. Travel to the various FPHSA clinics and outreach sites will be required. Incumbent must possess a valid Louisiana license to practice professional nursing, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state. This position reports directly to the RN Supervisor B, and may also act as back-up to the RN Supervisor B as needed.
