Job Title: Registered Nurse - Wound Care (Ostomy Certified)
Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Inpatient Wound Care
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 Hour Days
Hours per Shift: 40
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: Registered Nurse (RN) - State Board of Nursing
Certifications: BLS (required), Wound care certification (required), Ostomy certification (CWOCN) (required)
Must-Have:
General wound care background is a must.
Experience with Wound Vacs.
Ability to perform Nurse Level Debridement.
Experience in performing ABIs and cast cutting.
Description:
Inpatient Wound Care setting.
Work with a variety of patients with wounds of various causes, including diabetic foot wounds, vascular wounds, and pressure injuries.
Patient ratios are typically 1 patient per hour, dependent on complexity.
Orientation period of 1-2 weeks is provided for the unit.
Scheduling is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
No nights, weekends, or major holidays are required.
Support comprises diverse healthcare professionals within the unit.
Charting system utilized is EPIC.
A tight-knit, family feel within the team enhances autonomy and independence.
