Shift Schedule: 8 hrs/ Day Shift
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $63/hr on W2
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care RN with CWON certification to join our dedicated wound care team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating patient care in wound management, providing consultation, and implementing treatment plans for a variety of wound types. You will work in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate wound care for patients, including assessments, documentation, and treatment plans.
Provide recommendations for wound management and follow established standards and timelines for care.
Perform wound care for a variety of diagnoses, including ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, vascular and arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, skin conditions related to incontinence, surgical procedures, trauma, and more.
Utilize wound vacs (Smith and Nephew models) as part of patient care.
Provide discharge supplies and ensure appropriate education on wound care and prevention.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Document patient progress, treatments, and care outcomes.
Provide phone access for photo documentation.
Required Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse)
Washington State RN License
Experience & Skills:
CWON certification is required.
Previous travel nurse experience is not required for this position.
Strong wound care management and patient education skills are essential.
Patient Volume & Workload:
Minimum of 5-15 patients per day, depending on the day and number of new consults.
Schedule:
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
Weekend Requirements: None
Holiday Requirements: None
Call/Standby Requirement: None
Floating Requirements: Occasional floating to other facilities, sometimes planned in advance.
