Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Be a trusted caregiver by assessing and responding when a student isn't feeling well.
- Support student well-being by monitoring vitals, administering medications, and tracking health progress.
- Collaborate with families and the care team by sharing important medical updates and advocating for student needs.
- Coordinate medical care by assisting with lab draws, TB tests, and clinic visits.
- Ensure safety and accuracy by tracking and documenting medications, including narcotics, every shift.
- Play a key role in the healing journey by observing and documenting mood, behavior, and overall health.
Qualifications
Required Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- CPR Certification
Required Skills:
- Experience in medication administration and patient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and legal charting
- Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information effectively
- Experience in health insurance submission processes and electronic charting systems
Preferred Experience:
- Bedside hospital experience
- Experience in diabetic care
