We're currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Regulatory Affairs Directorto join our growing team.
The Regulatory Director will be responsible for ensuring and supervising the compliance of the PVM NA food products (mainly chewing gum, candies) with laws and technical standards as well as Group's policies. This role will support the Group Regulatory Teams in managing the compliance of toys, prize promotion, advertising, and in monitoring legislative developments related to some sustainability topics. This role will define strategies for the matters of responsibility and implement them. This role will need to anticipate opportunities and possible issues for the business, identifying the most appropriate regulatory action plan. This role will guide colleagues and management in the decision process as for the topics of responsibility in alignment key stakeholders. This role will have direct involvement in external affairs with trade associations and authority. This role is responsible for planning and leading the activities of the Team, providing guidance, defining the performance goals and supervising activities

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Supervise and ensure that the legislative developments applicable to the Company's products are effectively monitored and shared with other functions also assessing their impact on the business.
- Supervise and ensure the management of technical-regulatory affairs as for the topics and activities of competence.
- Work closely with Marketing and R&D providing advice on project feasibility and compliance, additives, ingredients, raw materials, etc.
- Supervise and assist in the preparation of ingredient lists and nutrition information upon recipe shared by R&D.
- Supervise and approve the product labels, providing advice.
- Support in verifying and providing advice of advertisement and promotional material.
- Develop and maintain relations with trade category associations and external stakeholders, also attending meetings, supporting the Company's position and preparing position statements.
- Support factory/office audits carried out by the national authority.
- May be involved in the management of administrative objections raised by competent authority with regard to food regulatory aspects of competence.
- As for the topics of responsibility carries out the risk assessment in coordination with the functional Manager to evaluate opportunities and risks in case of critical issues and/or regulatory-legal cases.
- May be involved in the Crisis Management.
- Support in ensuring the compliance of toys and prize promotions in alignment with Group Regulatory Toy and Prize Promotion Team.
- Work on strategic Company's projects in collaboration with other functions.
- Ensure the legislation monitoring and carry out the impact assessment of some sustainability topics in alignment with Group Regulatory Sustainability Team.
- Attend trade association meetings, supporting PVM's position.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- More than 10 years' experience in Regulatory Affairs in companies operating in the food industry
- High level of knowledge on food laws
- Strategic thought leadership, adaptability, analytical mindset, very good communication skills (written and spoken), building strong relationship, good level of negation skills, resourceful, decisive, managing through influence, team leadership, high level of sense of urgency, ability to lead under stress, risk management.
- Leadership experience - must be able to manage a team, fostering development and support
- Ability to facilitate and lead strategic planning
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and navigate across the organization while engaging others to ensure that the most effective solutions are implemented
- Effective interpersonal communication skills - both verbal and written,
- Strong ability to move between tactical and strategic aspects of the business
- Ability to quickly and effectively organize teams to accomplish objectives despite changing priorities
- Experience with Risk management.
