Description
JSI is expanding its Regulatory Affairs Department. The Regulatory Affairs Department ensures that our telecommunications and broadband clients can navigate the complexities of federal and state regulations.
The successful candidate will have telecommunications and/or broadband compliance experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in advising clients on compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
- Analyze complex regulatory information and translate it into clear, concise communication for the clients.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance successful relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conduct in-depth research on federal and state regulations for rural broadband deployments and award funding requirements.
- Understand the specifics of rural broadband regulations, funding requirements, and grant compliance.
- Help create and maintain essential compliance tools for clients and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain compliance resources for clients and internal staff, drawing on your understanding of relevant regulations.
- Prepare presentations and client advisories on new regulations.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions to develop effective communication strategies.

- Educate clients about compliance requirements through webinars, training, and written materials.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting rural broadband.
- Work across teams to find and implement innovative solutions to complex regulatory challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of one to three years of professional experience in the telecommunications regulatory space.
- Grant compliance management is a plus.
- Focused attention to detail and a passion for exceptional client service.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient with MS Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). SmartSheets, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Must be organized and be able to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must work independently and thrive in a collaborative team setting.
- Proven ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
