Corteva Agriscience is seeking to hire a Regulatory Manager based at our Calgary, Alberta location.

Responsibilities of this role include developing regulatory strategies and environmental health and safety initiatives, preparing and managing submissions with various regulatory agencies, and assisting in issue management and government affairs activities for crop protection and plant genetics products. This position involves occasional travel mainly in North America. Employee must have the legal right to work in Canada.

What You'll Do:
  • A critical expectation and measure of success for this position is an understanding and/or ability to learn and effectively apply the various Federal and Provincial Acts and Regulations.
  • Ability to help set priorities within the group and develop timelines to achieve regulatory success.
  • Build relationships with Provincial and National regulatory authorities to efficiently and effectively manage the registration process.
  • Identifying and monitoring relevant local legislation, regulation and emerging short and long-term trends important to the business.
  • Provide regulatory compliance/Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) support in several regulated areas.
  • Manage registrations, and help maintain registration compliance status. Assemble the data required for registration dossiers.
  • Contribute to development of policy in various forums.


What Skills You Need:
  • Ability to independently make decisions and recommendations based on sound evaluation and analysis.
  • Ability to understand business needs and to develop appropriate responses to regulatory issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication/selling skills.
  • Understanding or ability to learn the businesses in order to deliver timely and appropriate registration and product stewardship support for new products or new application developments.
  • Facilitative and group leadership skills, e.g. in interdisciplinary business teams.
  • Understanding or ability to learn the product technology, applications and markets.
  • The ability to take independent action, influences events to achieve results, have a bias for action, and takes appropriate risk.
  • Must be highly motivated, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently.


Education / Certification Requirements:
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred.
