Summary: This position is responsible for generating new deposit, commercial and real estate loan sales volume through new and existing profitable individual relationships in a dynamic fast- paced, goal oriented sales environment. Responsible for attaining established individual sales and referral goals through active sales efforts as specified in the business plan, as well as performing on-going portfolio management. A significant percentage of the position's compensation is derived from sales commissions.

Salary Range: The salary range budgeted for this position is $74,800/yr to $115,000/yr and represents the Company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The compensation offered to a candidate may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience as a tier I or II, and location.

The Company also offers various benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(K) match. Other rewards may include annual performance-based bonuses and wellness days.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Employee is responsible for adherence to all compliance programs and the completion of all required and assigned training by established due dates
  • Employee is responsible for understanding their duties and responsibilities as it relates to the Bank Secrecy Act, ("BSA"), Anti-Money Laundering Act ("AML") and Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations ("OFAC"). This includes understanding any responsibilities outlined under the Bank's BSA/ OFAC Program, participating in any required training and promptly complying with all reporting requirements
  • Understand and comply with requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to position
  • Generate profitable commercial and individual sales volume derived from the Bank's client base, new clients and other referral sources; see Attachment-A for annual goal amount
  • Primary outside sales focus includes demand deposit/operating accounts, treasury management and payments services
  • Identify, acquire, and grow new business and personal deposit balances, and expanded business relationship opportunities
  • Prospect new business opportunities by consulting with individuals and business owners to provide financial solutions including, trust banking and insurance services provided by the Bank and to identify referral opportunities for First Foundation Advisor services
  • Assess, profile, and analyze structures and negotiates terms and prices for Deposit requests
  • Present for credit approval loans that meet the Bank's financial and risk guidelines based on risk and value of the relationship to the Bank
  • Propose to all clients' customized packages of financial products and services to diversify their use services provided by the Bank
  • Manage each client's personal and/or business requests efficiently from origination through booking
  • Work in a proactive manner with all First Foundation Affiliates, Bank Affiliates and Bank staff to identify referrals to affiliates of First Foundation to accomplish its goal of meeting the client's needs with multiple products and services from all Affiliates
  • Grow relationships in portfolios under his/her management; perform on-going portfolio management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience - Relationship Banker I:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher degree preferred; or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of related sales experience to individuals and businesses with a proven track record of exceeding sales expectations

Education and/or Experience - Relationship Banker II:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred; or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of related sales experience to individuals and businesses with a proven track record of exceeding sales expectations

Skills:
  • Must have sales, analytical, and business development skills
  • Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of interpretation of financial statements applied to business accounting and finance principles
  • Working knowledge of business finances; demonstrated understanding of small business operations and financial consulting
  • Knowledge of banking products/services required
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Windows based software
