Reliability Engineer
The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is responsible for minimizing Mean Time Between Failures and Mean Time to Repair through the use of Reliability Centered Maintenance best practices.
You are responsible for developing a long-range maintenance strategy, establishing standards, improving, maintaining, and repairing facilities and equipment to ensure optimal reliability. The incumbent will ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Reliability Engineer
The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is responsible for minimizing Mean Time Between Failures and Mean Time to Repair through the use of Reliability Centered Maintenance best practices.
You are responsible for developing a long-range maintenance strategy, establishing standards, improving, maintaining, and repairing facilities and equipment to ensure optimal reliability. The incumbent will ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Job Duties
- Establish and refine the plant's long term maintenance strategy and improvement plan
- Utilize the "reliability centered maintenance" (RCM) methodology to ensure optimal maintenance practices are applied to each critical asset based upon its operating context
- Track and publish standardized maintenance performance metrics on a routine basis consistent with company requirements; align maintenance performance indicators with overall business key performance indicators
- Manage the maintenance work planning function and the maintenance scheduling function; develop and implement planning and scheduling standards and procedures for the plant
- Manage the predictive and preventative maintenance functions and ensure that economically viable maintenance technologies that result in reduced plant downtime are implemented in the plant
- Serve as the plant's Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) resource and support the implementation of TPM initiatives including autonomous operator maintenance
- Apply Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) techniques to help manufacturing areas address major reliability issues
- Ensure that acceptance standards for new, repaired, and rebuilt equipment are followed and that baseline conditions are established for such equipment.
- Participate in plant HAZOP analyses
- Manage the planning and execution of scheduled plant shutdowns / turnarounds
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a technical field (mechanical, chemical, or electrical, engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in maintenance and engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a chemical facility
- Process Safety Management Knowledge
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 systems
- Experience with CMMS systems for work order tracking, inventory management, and PM tracking
- Experience with reliability-based maintenance approaches and predictive maintenance technologies
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including alignment with organizational core values and positive employee relationships
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- CMRP, CRE, CRL Certification
- Knowledge of SAP maintenance and purchasing procedures
- Lean Six Sigma/Project Management Experience
- Experience working in union environment
