Position Summary
Thales Canada Defence & Security (TCDS) is looking for a Reliability Manager. The Reliability Manager is the responsible for Reliability analysis across the organization. They are also the Resource Manager for the Reliability Team.
As a Reliability Manager you are responsible for overseeing the creation, and development of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability assessments. This role ensures that all reliability, availability and maintenance requirements required for system or platform are achieved in design and monitored during in service support. Analysis techniques will consider Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs), Failure Prediction Analysis, Weibull Analysis, Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM) and Obsolescence Analysis. The manager leads a team of analysts and engineers and collaborates with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure consistency.
The Reliability manager reports to the TCDS ILS Manager (Head of Discipline).
Key Areas of Responsibility
The main responsibilities are:
As a Resource Manager:
Provides appropriate resources to deliver bids, projects and products.
Plans the team's workload in the short, medium and long term.
Develops team skills to support bids, projects and products.
Supports recruitment, onboarding, performance management, career management and succession planning for the team.
Coaches, mentors and develops the team.
Leads the team to meet company expectations for productivity, chargeability, quality, continuous improvement and accomplishment of objectives.
Ensures that company policies and procedures are followed, including timesheets, time off, and travel.
As the TCDS Reliability Manager:
Responsible for the establishment, standardization and evolution of processes, procedures and tooling for Reliability Analysis.
Ensures that the processes, procedures and tooling meet the current and future needs of the bids, projects and products.
Responsible for development of lessons learned and the sharing of knowledge and experience across the technical reliability discipline.
Responsible for bid, project and product estimates for the reliability discipline.
Implement and sustain the Reliability Analysis capability.
Perform Reliability Analysis Planning and Management.
Responsible for subcontractor Reliability Analysis requirements and activities.
As a member of the Technical Publication team:
Responsible for performing Reliability Analysis work on bids, projects and products.

Special Position Requirements
The anticipated Total Target Compensation (TTC), inclusive of annual salary and bonus eligibility, for this role is 101,038.15 - 176,126.92 CAD Annual. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's status protected by local, provincial, and federal laws.

Minimum Qualifications
- An Engineering degree or two-year diploma from a recognized university or college (mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, reliability or naval engineering) or certified as one the following technical trades of the CAF: Marine Technician RQ-PO2, Weapons Engineer Technician RQ-PO2, Legacy QL 6A Marine Engineer, Legacy QL 6A Marine Electrician, Legacy QL 6A Hull Technician, Legacy QL 6A Naval Electronics Technician, or Legacy QL 6A Naval Weapons Technician.
- Five years or more experience within the last 10 years conducting reliability assessments on complex systems.

Special Position Requirements
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Physical Environment: Hybrid position - which is a mix of working from home and onsite (in office, at customer site or on board ships alongside in harbour).
- Travel: Occasional domestic travel maybe required in support of the ships.
