Job Description:

This person will be need to be able to understand things a system level, figure out what issues may occur from a user/operation perspective, and then create & execute reliability and test plans to create solutions. Understanding the devices weakness and creating solutions to make the product more reliable is key.

Responsibilities:

  • Reliability Engineer ( Sr. / Principal Level - 5 years minimum) (Hybrid preferred (3 times a week) - will be open to someone in a commutable distance willing to come in once/twice a week)
  • This person will be need to be able to understand things a system level, figure out what issues may occur from a user/operation perspective, and then create & execute reliability and test plans to create solutions. Understanding the devices weakness and creating solutions to make the product more reliable is key.
  • Experience with MTBF, MTTR, & MTTF - these are formulas that calculate failure rates.


Requirements:

  • 6+ years of reliability engineering experience
  • Medical Device/Automotive/Aerospace exp.
  • MTBF, MTTR, & MTTF experience
  • Experience creating reliability plans and monitoring overall equipment effectiveness
  • Mechanical or Electrical slanted background
  • Understanding complex systems on a design & sub assembly level


Desired:

  • Medical device/FDA experience is preferred, but he is definitely open to automotive/aerospace especially if their experience matches the same complexity & scale of their robot. (Someone working on a small electronics will not work)
