We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop world-class solar power generation designs. This role involves working on multidisciplinary project teams to design, adapt, and optimize electrical plans that align with budget, technical factors, and client needs.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop world-class solar power generation designs. This role involves working on multidisciplinary project teams to design, adapt, and optimize electrical plans that align with budget, technical factors, and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design from concept to completion, collaborating with diverse teams to develop layouts, diagrams, cable routing, communication systems, grounding design, and equipment specifications.
- Review and modify electrical drawings.
- Perform cable ampacity and trench design using software such as CYMCAP, ETAP, or AmpCalc.
- Model electrical systems with ETAP or SKM to generate reports, including short circuit analysis, load flow studies, and arc flash hazard assessments.
- Conduct grounding system modeling using CDEGS and WinIGS.
- Design electrical components to meet project requirements set by project managers.
- Apply industry-standard electrical engineering concepts, principles, and codes.
- Research and compile project-related data.
- Coordinate with local authorities regarding permitting.
- Conduct field inspections, take measurements, and perform calculations to support execution.
- Provide on-site engineering support during construction.
- Participate in client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) + 4 years of experience.
- OR Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering Technology + FE exam completion + 4 years of experience (consulting preferred).
- OR Master's in Electrical Engineering + 2 years of experience (consulting preferred).
- OR Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering + 4 years of experience in utility-scale solar plant design (>5MW).
- Strong knowledge of engineering techniques, procedures, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 2D/3D rendering programs.
- EIT certification preferred; PE license encouraged.
