Description:

Position Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Manager for managing the development of renewable energy projects, particularly in the field of Wind Energy, in collaboration with partners and consultants. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the development of wind projects, ensuring alignment with strategic energy needs and demand growth projections in Canada. As a Renewable Energy Manager you will be reporting to the Director, Energy Development - Canada, you will be responsible for the following:
Development of wind projects:
  • Lead the development of large-scale wind projects, managing our renewable energy partners through all phases of the project, including site selection, permitting, interconnection, and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure alignment of projects with energy strategy, including by taking into account regional energy needs and decarbonization goals.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, providing technical oversight and decision-making to keep projects moving forward and minimize risk.
  • ct as the main interlocutor between and the renewable energy partner, ensuring the timely delivery of key milestones and compliance with contractual obligations.

Development of hydroelectric power and renewable energies:
  • Oversee the development of hydroelectric projects in collaboration with Indigenous partners, including managing external consultants and ensuring alignment of projects with shared objectives.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, partnership structure planning, and financial modeling for renewable energy projects.

Collaboration:
  • Provide support to the team during strategic planning and investment approvals by internal committees and management.
  • Collaborate with the various internal departments, as required, to ensure alignment of projects with our best practices and standards.

Your contribution:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to present in English and French .

  • Experience with partnerships, contracts and strategic planning.
  • Good knowledge of the Canadian business environment and the regulatory environment is an asset.
