Position Overview:
- ReRAM Bit Cell Architect with supporting Process Integration & Device Engineering skills
- Engage with Business Units (BU) to support onsemi roadmaps and guide integration of ReRAM solutions into IC technologies
- Ownership of bit-cell development, process integration flows, and ReRAM device development from initial design to early volume
- Develop ReRAM-specific CMOS and/or HV Devices as required for IP development.
- Collaborating with ReRAM design IP development teams to provide inputs/develop fully functioning IP.
- Work with design and test/product engineering teams to establish ReRAM test specs and characterization requirements.
- Support IC design and layout teams with process & device knowledge, implementing SOA boundary conditions as needed.
- Test structure design and bench characterization to enable new device modules and performance optimization
- ReRAM mini-array design, layout, and characterization for bit-cell development.
- Develop ReRAM IP/Device isolation strategies to meet technology requirements as needed.
- Supporting ReRAM yield optimization and RERAM reliability/product qualification.
Required Skills and Background:
- Master's or PhD degree in Electronics, Physics, Materials Engineering, or equivalent, and 5+ years' experience in RERAM.
- Experience in other memory technologies for e.g, Flash, EEPROM, Emerging memories preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of ReRAM and related device physics, cell array characterization, test & reliability.
- TCAD or equivalent Process and Device Simulation Skills to support ReRAM development.
- Excellent track record in ReRAM technology development, and Process & Device integration from 180nm to 40nm.
- Excellent working knowledge of ReRAM reliability is required.
- Strong data analysis skills to analyze and propose alternative courses of action for resolution of technical problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of key ReRAM design, device, and process requirements
- Experience with ReRAM manufacturing/operations requirements and constraints for high volume ramp.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines and work efficiently as part of a team or independently.
Performance Requirements:
- Architect ReRAM bit-cells for new technologies that meet BU requirements
- Develop bit-cell or collateral devices required for full functionality of ReRAM for e.g, NLDMOS devices, Capacitors, State Transistor, etc
- Create road maps for future NVM technologies
- Perform required ReRAM TCAD device simulations using Sentaurus or similar tools
- Provide inputs to ReRAM IP teams to help design fully functioning IP
- Create test specifications for ReRAM devices and mini-arrays.
- Design ReRAM mini-array layout variants for final bit-cell selection post-characterization.
- Analyze collected test and REL data for developed devices and ReRAM arrays.
- Create reports and documents that describe developed ReRAM technology.
- Present generated reports to various stakeholders.
