The RADICAL Lab (http://radical.rutgers.edu) seeks a highly motivated and experienced Research Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and implementing high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced cyberinfrastructure solutions to support various scientific applications. This role is crucial in advancing our scientific computing capabilities and fostering innovation across different research domains. The position reports to Prof. Shantenu Jha.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct cutting-edge research in HPC, AI, and advanced cyberinfrastructure.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance the performance and scalability of scientific applications.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate HPC and AI technologies into existing research workflows.
Contribute to RADICAL-Cybertools growth by projects by providing technical expertise and developing tailored solutions.
Support scientific discovery by exploring new research directions and prototyping innovative technologies.
Participate in strategic projects to align HPC and AI initiatives with organizational goals and long-term research objectives.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Computational Science, or a related field.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven experience in HPC, AI, and cyberinfrastructure research and implementation.
Strong programming skills and familiarity with parallel computing, machine learning frameworks, and data management systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
