Position Title: Resin Sales Manager

The Corporate Headquarters is located within walking distance of the iconic AT&T Stadium, home of the 5-time Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys, and The Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers baseball club. DFW Airport is also nearby. Our Manufacturing facility is in Arlington, Texas.
Summary: Our Resin Sales Manager will generate new recycling solutions for our Spectrum recycling facility located in Dallas Forth Worth area. You will lead efforts to establish key partnerships with plastics manufacturers, within the DFW area, to create circular processes for plastic waste collection, recycling, reformulation, and re-sale relationships. You will play a critical role in optimizing pricing strategies for the purchase of plastics waste and developing 'go to market' strategies that establish the best resale value of recycled resins.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the strategic regional plastic waste and mechanical recycling landscape, industry structure, market trends and competitive dynamics.
- Apply knowledge of markets, customers, products, technology, manufacturing and feedstock positions and sustainability/circular economy topics to formulate and drive the SPECTRUM strategic growth agenda.
- Develop and nurture strategic relationships with key (senior) partner stakeholders building both trust and developing a shared growth vision.
- Manages and grows a complex set of strategic alliances that complement and enhance the Company's service offerings.
- Works closely with the Petmate's lab and sales departments to facilitate the planning and execution of joint go-to-market activities and ensures that the products/services are well-aligned with the Company's core strategy, including driving the definition and establishment of mutual support statements, solutions, product roadmaps, and differentiated innovations.
- Partners with Petmate lab to monitor quality of inbound scrap materials and engages with suppliers when quality issues arise.
- Build relationships with key supply chain stakeholders.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract terms with inbound plastics suppliers.
- Develop understanding of the market dynamics in the recycling industry through trading commodity grade plastics.
- Develop mechanisms for reverse logistics that support closed loop of inbound scrap and outbound recycled resin.
- Audit supplier operations to ensure they comply with company standards for inbound scrap materials.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- 10+ years in one or more of the following areas:
- Waste Management, Sorting and Recycling of Plastics sector.
- Chemical / Process Industries sector in the sustainability and circularity space.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales leadership responsibility.
- Minimum of 3 years of P&L experience.
- Strong understanding of plastics industry, with at least 5 years of working knowledge of plastics waste outputs.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S).
- Computer skills required, to include database software, spreadsheet, and word processing Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time, within DFW region.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience building a profit center in recycling space.
