JOB SUMMARY
As a Respiratory Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the respiratory therapy department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. You will lead a team of respiratory therapists, develop treatment plans, and implement best practices to optimize patient outcomes. The Respiratory Manager will actively participate in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of staff. It is the responsibility of the Respiratory Manager to participate in budget management, assure workflows are smooth and participate in quality improvement activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Respiratory Manager facilitates effective and cascaded communication amongst the staff, patients, families and other team members outside the department to assure that all are informed and updated. The manager guides staff to ensure an understanding and active participation in organizational strategic goals. The Respiratory Manager is responsible for providing staff and patient education.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of respiratory care procedures and functions as prescribed by a physician.
This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as Respiratory Therapist
- One (1) year of leadership/charge experience
- Bachelor's level degree or actively enrolled in a Bachelor's program
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
- Effective January 1, 2006: Possess a Current Illinois Respiratory Therapy License or Letter of Authority from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. Note: The licence examination will be taken within 60 days of graduation and the Director must receive license within 90 days of graduation.
